This Nippondenso 10PA17J A/C compressor is one of the most widely-used compressors on the Chrysler family of minivans.
There are 2 part numbers for these vehicles, but the compressor is the same; the difference in the part numbers is only to reflect the amount of oil in the OEM units. There is more oil in the compressor for With Rear Air units than those for front A/C only systems. The compressor, including mounts and displacement is the same.
Some OEM units had a typo on the label identifying this unit as a 10PA17C. They are actually 10PA17J compressors, identifiable by the long ‘leg’ on the bottom rear of the compressor.
The Accumulator or Filter Drier should always be replaced when the Air Conditioning System is opened. The Orifice Tube, if equipped, should always be replaced and the Expansion Valve, if equipped, should at least be inspected for proper operation if not replaced.
